Health Advice & Travel Insurance

It is important that prior to travelling overseas, you make the necessary arrangements to ensure that you are taken care of in case of sickness or injury whilst you are away from home.

When travelling aboard to get medical treatment in an EU member state you must have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), this card replaces the old E111 form that was validated at the local post office.  Before you travel you must make sure that your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is still valid.  If you do not have a card or your card is out of date please click the NHS link.  http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcareabroad/EHIC/Pages/Introduction.aspx  this link will take you to the NHS page where you can apply and renew your EHIC.

Please note that European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) card does not cover private medical healthcare, travel Insurance and is recommended in addition to the EHIC.

Travel Insurance can be obtained from many sources within the UK and it is well worth shopping around for a competitive quote, whether it is for one trip or for an annual policy.
