Crime is relatively low in Lanzarote, even in Arrecife.
Business Hours:
Offices, post offices and the most of shops are open Monday Friday from 9.00-13.00 and 16.00-19.00 (after Siesta), and Saturdays from 9.00-13.00.
Tips (propinas in Spanish): are not mandatory but are always appreciated, but be sure that you have had good service before you tip. Usually it's 5-10% on top of the bill.
Electricity: 220 volts; plugs are 2 rounded pin. UK/USA visitors should bring adapters.
