Puerto del Carmen
Playa Grande
It is a very reasonable size beach (1,190 m), very popular, with fine golden sand and calm waters, and secure as it has lifeguards.

Los Pocillos
With fine golden sand, it is a very reasonable size (1,230 m), the Los Pocillos is a windy but very calm water beach, it is very popular. The high tide leaves pools on its flat surface and it has good wind surfing conditions.

Matagorda
Measuring 850 m, the beach at Matagorda, named on behalf of the tourist development with the same name. It is windy,has a fine golden sand and calm waters, offering good conditions for windsurfing, particularly for beginners.

Playa Chica
Located between Playa Fariones and the port of the town Puerto del Carmen, it is a small cove frequented by the town's residents. This beach is a very clean, and is suitable for families with small children as it has calm waters and mixture of golden sand and little stones (chippings).
Here you can find water sport schools like diving, and it is also possible to hire jet skies and enjoy parasailing and a banana bus.

Lima
Located beside the Matagorda development, Lima beach is a reasonable size (900 m), it has a mixture of fine golden sand and picon (small lava stones) and is a windy beach with calm waters ideal for first time windsurfers.

Puerto Calero
Pena Grande
The little cove of Peña Grande, and is just 40m long there is a fine white sand and pebbles, with calm water and a windy beach.

Pila de la Barrilla
Pila de La Barrilla beach is a small (90m) beach but it is very pretty with a fine golden sand and calm waters.

Fariones
Fariones beach of fine golden sand can be found in Puerto del Carmen next to the hotel of the same name. It is a small cove, just 60 m long, with calm waters.

Playa Quemada
South of the picturesque harbour of Puerto Calero lies the private Playa Quemada, a series of small, idyllic coves with natural beaches featuring black sand and pebbles and crystal-clear, calm waters. At weekends, this beach is a favourite with local residents.
Playa Quemada can be reached by car on a dirt track or by boat from Puerto Calero.
