There are some stunning beaches all around Lanzarote for every taste, some are very popular and very busy, others are more private. The south beaches tend to have fine white sand and calm waters that are suitable for families with young children, in contrast to the north that are predominately of brown medium grain size and some have strong currents that are not suitable for swimming, making them only suitable for surfers in some areas.
