Lanzarote Aquarium has a large collection where you can find native fish from the Canary Islands, such as the Triggerfish, Golden fishes and Fulas, along with tropical fishes of different colours and forms, such as clown fishes, fire dragons, globe fishes, lobsters and cleaning crabs. Visitors can observe a variety of warm water sharks, swimming in the main tank of 400,000 litres which houses a submarine tunnel that gives visitors a great close up view.

Lanzarote Aquarium has three pools where both children and adults can get up close and even touch animals such as sea cucumbers, starfish, sea urchins, coastal-zone fish and small crabs while learning about their anatomy and the environment in which they live.

The aquarium has also created a rubbish aquarium, a small re-creation of the current state of some areas of Lanzarote's coast, aiming to raise the awareness and the impact man has upon the environment so it will be possible for sea life to continue without the dangers of marine contamination.

Lanzarote Aquarium also offers those with a diving qualification the opportunity to dive inside the shark tank. The dive lasts 20 minutes and costs €129.
